Upon arriving at the site, the security officer’s duties include:
1. Arriving at the site before the shift starts to don the company uniform fully and cleanly.
2. Receiving the shift. During this process, the following steps should be performed:
– Sign the attendance book accurately.
– Listen to a summary of the previous shift from the outgoing colleague.
– Review site records with the outgoing colleague.
– Read the condition log and all notes.
– Assess the site’s inventory with the colleague, including weapons, ammunition, fire extinguishers, and technical equipment, while ensuring that weapons are not used during the handover.
– Conduct a site walkthrough with the outgoing colleague and activate the site.
– Record any new observations in the condition log.
– Sign the condition log with the outgoing colleague.
– Complete the handover and assume responsibility for the shift.
